Hand Hammered Square Bowl, created from heavy .0625" solid copper plate. An object and destination vessel for keys, coin and jewelry. The handkerchief corners imply the material is fluid, captured for this moment and purpose.
The shape of the bowl is raised on an anvil, each hammerstroke a fingerprint, evidence of pushing the metal to purpose.
I created this bowl to protect the surface of an entry table, or dresser; a handsome place to find and collect keys, and change when returning home; or rest your earrings at the end of the day.
It is about 6" x 6" (150mm x 150mm) and 3/4" +- high (19mm).
